The "General" tab

The Default Test

In the path input field you can enter the path to the default test that will be used by Test (or Monitor in network version) for testing and by Editor as the default database for editing.

You can see quick information on the selected default test at the right of the input field (test name, test time and number of questions).

If selected default test not exists then it will be created by Editor automatically on startup.

In the default password for test input field you can enter the password that will be used by UniTest System programs to access the default test.

The Default Test Results Database

In the path input field you can enter the path to the default results database that will be used by Test (or Monitor in network version) as database for test results and by Report as the default database for editing test results and report preparation.

If selected default results database not exists then it will be created by Test automatically.

In the default password for test input field you can enter the password that will be used by UniTest System programs to access the default results database.

The Default password is useful when testing to avoid having to enter your password every time manually. But for better security you may decide not to enter a default password, because it's much easier (though still hard) to crack an entered default password than to crack the database itself (see UniTest System Tests and Test Results Protection for more information).

The Current Language

You can easily select your native language using this language selection combo box. To set up your system default language, press "Set System Default Language" button.
