Creating Tests

The UniTest System tests are created in Editor.

Every test itself is some kind of database, that contains questions, answers and all the test settings and information. Each test is stored in one file (usually with ".uta" extension).

With every test usually a test description file is created. Description files contain general information about the test (test file path, test name, number of questions in the test and test time). A description file isn't an essential component of the test and only contains useful test information. The Description file always has a ".dsc" extension. The UniTest System programs use the description files to display immediate test info.

Tests can be created in Editor using any program supporting OLE objects (MS Office, Lotus Smart Suite, many multimedia programs,...) or without any "external" programs (using powerful internal RTF editor with support of text formatting, graphics, OLE objects and more). That means that tests can be created using your favorite text processing tool, modeling program, or some other kind of specific programs supporting OLE (today almost any good program supports OLE).

For instruction and guidance on how to create tests using Editor see the articles below.
